If you’re looking for teen angst then look no further. Harriet! is here! Packing more punches than a boxing match, her latest single Late-Teens Bitch (Late-Teens Witch for the radio) is set to take Derby by storm.
Taken from her debut EP ‘Hidden Messages’ released just a few short weeks ago, the single gives you just a short insight into what her music’s all about.
Within the first few seconds of the song, there’s a sinister laugh which is kind of scary but it gives you a slight inkling of what’s coming.
The catchy guitar tune had me bobbing my head too, waiting to hear what she had to say. Then the lyrics kick in… After something about starting a fight, the chorus really hits the nail on the head. It’s what you want from the song, the rocky sound of her voice singing words that make you think YEAH!
The drums in the background really add that kick to the song and really make it work. It’s the kind of song you’d want to hear when you’re down to really pick you up and I’m sure it’s a treat live!
The inner rock chick really comes through in this tune and I’m sure it’ll be stuck in my head for good after a few more listens. You can definitely tell Harriet’s influenced by artists like Fleetwood Mac and Janis Joplin through the folk yet rock vibe. She even has similar hair to Janis and Stevie Nicks!
You can get her EP Hidden messages on iTunes, Spotify, Deezer and Amazon now!
