Final Evening of Twilight Thursdays* with Intu Derby

Is everyone ready for Christmas yet? I FINALLY am and I am so excited to give out all of the presents I’ve bought and eat my HUGE Christmas dinner!

Over the past few weeks, every Thursday I’ve been seeing friends, family and doing my bit of Christmas shopping at Intu Derby  for our #TwilightThursdays collab.

This week I had to grab a last few minute bits for Kane and Intu is perfect if you’re shopping for a gamer like my other half.

I picked up a few bits from Game, Grainger Games, Toy Planet and HMV who all have game themed gifts in the centre.

I also managed to pick up some super funky jammies from H&M on sale and they’re literally perfect for me.

They’re Christmas themed with PIZZAS on – how awesome are they?! I can’t believe they were only £5 too!

After a few hours shopping and going home to wrap it all, I met up with two of my blogger besties, Jess and Emmie for a festive treat at Zizzi’s.

To drink, we chose to have festive cocktails (why not?) and I had the Winter Cosmo, Emmie had the Passion Fruitini and Jess had the Ginberry Fizz.

We chose to share two starters too as we were pretty hungry. We had the Fonduta Formaggi which was a melted cheese dip with little bread rolls. We also had the Pulled Beef Arancini which were risotto balls with peas, melted mozzarella and shredded beef.

The starters were delicious, warm and had a great festive feel accompanied by our tipples.

For my main, I wanted to steer away from the my usual pizza dish and I headed toward the pasta section on the huge menu.

In the end, I chose an oven baked dish called Penne Della Casa which was penne, roasted chicken, pancetta, baby spinach and riserva cheese baked with a creamy mushroom sauce.

It was filling, flavourful and beautifully creamy – definitely something different from the usual meaty pizza.

We decided to skip dessert and head on home as it was getting rather late.

Whether it’s spending time with your loved ones, shopping with friends or going out for a date with your other half, Intu has it all.

What better way to show someone how much you mean to them with a gift card, you can spend it in most of the shops and all of the eateries in the Intu centres all round the UK.

I couldn’t be more happy to find one of these under the Christmas tree this year!

Have you ever bought or received a gift card from Intu?

I hope you all have a wonderful Christmas, whatever you do and a fabulous (and drunk) New Year!

*This post was written in collab with Intu Derby as the third and final part of our Twilight Thursdays saga. The meal and gifts were paid for by Intu but this does not affect any of my opinions!
