The Make Up Brushes You Need In Your Life | Urban Beauty United*

If you know anything about beauty, you’ll know that having a good set of make up brushes are key to your collection.

Well I’m here to tell you that I’ve found the answer to all your prayers, good, inexpensive make up brushes that are pretty to look at too!

Urban Beauty United kindly sent me some of their brushes over to review recently and I am amazed by their blending power!

I’ve had some brushes that look very similar to this before but they were only from Asda as part of a Christmas set a few years back.

The sturdy plastic handle is easy to hold and not too thick for you to grip and apply your products. The copper metal casing is so pleasing to the eye; it adds a touch of sass and makes them look more expensive than they are.

The bristles are a hot pink colour with touches of white here and there which I think contrasts with the white and copper brilliantly.

This brush is the Berry Blush which is an angled blusher brush, perfect for adding that pop of colour to your cheeks.

What I like about this is the fluffiness of the brush and how easily it picks up and transfers the product onto your cheek.

I’ve been using this with the blusher in the Makeup Revolution Sculpt & Contour Kit which I’ve been using for years!

I find I only have to circle the brush a tiny amount across the blusher to grab all the product I need and lightly sweep over the apples of my cheeks.

I’m not one for bright pink cheeks, I just like a slight pop of colour which catches the light every now and again and this brush does exactly that for me.

I think if you wanted a heavier blush look, you could use more product and glide it on the cheeks easily with this wonder.

The next brushes of the lot are the Smoke Screens which can be used to create the ultimate smokey eye.

When I opened these, I was beyond excited to try them out as I am the biggest fan of a silver smokey eye.

I think they’re a good selection of brushes with a blending brush, an angled brush and a mini detail brush.

I would probably say that the blending and the angled brush are the ones I’m going to use the most, simply because I’m used to using only two brushes for my typical smokey eye.

Although the silver look has my heart, I have been loving this Seventeen Easy On the Eye Palette recently for a more subtle, neutral look during the day.

The last brush of the lot is the Picture Perfect Stippling Brush which is like a dream for foundation.

I’m not usually one for using brushes to blend in my foundation after being head over heels in love with the beloved beauty blender.

HOWEVER, I have never used a stippling brush before…

The flat head allows a flawless coverage without absorbing too much of the product between its bristles so more of it sits on your skin.

I found it so easy to blend my foundation mix in and I didn’t even have any streak marks which is a win win for me!

I used a mix of my two favourite foundations the Rimmel Match Perfection and the Rimmel Lasting Finish 25 Hour both in the shade Porcelain (I’m a bit pale).

Overall, I am very happy with the blending power of these brushes, both with blush, eyeshadow and foundation and I think they’re pretty good for the price.

You can find these brushes on Amazon, in Asda and on Beauty Bay for the UK stockists.

You can also check them out on Instagram, Twitter and their website.

*This posts contains PR samples but my views and opinions are all my very own. You should seriously try out these brushes though.
