Mr Lee’s Noodles | Tried & Tasted*

Recently I got sent a big selection of noodles from the lovely people over at Mr Lee’s to try out, taste and give my verdict which leads us here.

Being a big fan of quick and easy lunches for work, I was very excited to just chuck one of these in my bag and just add hot water at lunch time when I get peckish.

They sent me over a selection of flavours of noodles, some funky chopsticks and a big branded cotton bag to keep the noodle pots in.

The selection of flavours included: Hong King Street Beef, Dragon Fire Mushroom, Tai Chi Chicken, Haolin Monk Vegetables, Warrior Fighting Shrimp and Penang Chicken Curry Laksa.

Of all the six, the Beef and the Chicken ones sounded the most appealing to me as I usually have beef or chicken in my stir fry so it only seemed right.

These noodles are pledged to be 100% delicious with 0% nasties included. The ingredients are freeze-dried which locks in the goodness and keeps the flavour at its very best. They’re also gluten free and super low in sugar which is good for your heart and your digestive system.

The first one I decided to try was the Penang Chicken Curry Laksa which stood out the most to me with it’s coconut and ginger flavours packed in.

Admittedly, it was delicious! While being on the hot side for me, it had plenty of flavour with even little freeze-dried chicken pieces which I did not expect at all. I would recommend taking note of the spice level though – this was advised as medium and was on the top end of my heat handling scale.

Kane pleaded with me to let him have the Hong Kong Street Beef flavour and he was not disappointed. He said the noodles were zingy and were like something you’d buy from a street food market for a good chunk of money.

Overall I was pretty impressed with these handy noodle pots as they’re full of nothing but the good stuff and a great alternative to soggy sandwiches at work.

They’d also be great for taking on holiday or to festivals too as they’re very filling and packed full of flavour.

I’d recommend these to anyone willing to try something new or a healthy alternative to regular Pot Noodles out there.
