My June Favourites

Can you believe we’re only a few months away from Winter and IT’S NEARLY CHRISTMAS?! Ok we’re nowhere near but the second half of the year is my favourite.

It’s usually a busy few months for me with my birthday in August and then that’s when the birthdays, Halloween, Bonfire Night, Kane’s Birthday, our Anniversary and then the Christmas period kick off.

Anyway back to talking about my monthly favourites and I’ve tried to narrow this month down as it’s been a busy one, as usual.

If you’ve read any of my favourites before, you may have noticed that I love Imperial Leather’s Sweet Treats collection so when I saw that they had brought out a Marshmallow Hand Wash, I was a very happy lady.

I have really sensitive skin which means a lot of hand washes I use make my skin really itchy and irritated but surprisingly, this one has been really nourishing and not irritating at all.

I’ve also been loving this Calypso After Sun Aloe Vera Gel for soothing my sunburn. Earlier in the month we had some damn HOT weather which of course meant sore sunburn for both mine and Kane’s pale skin. This has been an absolute lifesaver for both of us!

Kane’s burn was the worst I’ve ever seen on him and he was in so much agony; so after hearing that this stuff works wonders for the pain, I popped out to buy some.

It’s also extra soothing if you keep it in the fridge which is exactly what I did! We noticed that the burning sensation faded within a few days of using this and helped our skin heal that much quicker.

This Oral B 3D White Toothpaste has been a firm favourite this month for one reason – it has really made a difference. After the first use, I noticed how much fresher and cleaner my mouth felt.

I also noticed that my teeth started to look less yellowy and more sparkly, which has always been an insecurity of mine.

I’ve been pairing it with the 3D LUXE Mouthwash too which has made the fresh feeling last even longer. The perfect combo in my eyes and I can see me using these for a long time to come.

When it comes to beauty, I’m always trying new things and finding new favourites along with re-discovering some of my old products.

This Lady Gaga Fame Perfume was my go to for years while at college and university but they stopped selling it at a lot of shops which led it to just fade away from my collection.

After having a bit of a declutter a few weeks back, I found a bottle that I had been given as a gift and forgotten about so I popped it open and gave it a spritz. Just like before, I fell in love.

It has a sweet but deep scent and I like how it’s so unique and different to any other perfume I own. It’s very long lasting and clings to almost everything I spray it on.

A few months back I gave in bought the crazy hyped Revlon Colourstay foundation and while I wasn’t 100% sold at first, I’ve really grown to love it.

I bought the Oily/Combination version as my skin’s pretty oily and I’ve noted when paired with the right primer and powder, this stuff works wonders – My skin stays matte and oil free all day.

I also find that the Ivory shade (lightest) is perfect for my skin and not too dark or yellow toned at all.

I found this New Look Matte Lipstick on offer for £2 so I thought I’d give it a try. This shade is like nothing else I have being a dark brown shade and I’ve been loving wearing it.

New Look also has a wide range of different shades to choose from both a matte and creamy formula for only £3.99 full price.

I find although this lipstick applies nicely, it can be a bit drying so I always pop on a balm underneath.

I also managed to bag myself some tickets back in April to see my favourite band PARAMORE a few weeks back so that was a big highlight for me.

It was my fourth time and Kane’s first seeing them and I was so excited to hear their new album in full swing – just brilliant.

Although, it was the sweatiest gig I’ve ever been to with it being the hottest day of the year… we. were. melting.

So that’s it for my monthly favourites! I’m going on holiday in a week’s time so expect a few holiday posts up this month.

Thanks for reading and I hope you enjoyed it!
